  I had a new 1500 gallon system installed at my home. Included was a new drain field. The original system was a 1000 gal tank with a simple 1 line drain out to about 200 feet from the house. The tank rusted through thus prompting the replacement. Right from the start I questioned the value to cost ratio with the design of the system. The original was all downhill and required no kind of pumping to a J box for distribution out to the drain field. In the design of the new system, they included a submersible pump and a J box, and all for a huge additional hike (over $1500) in the price. The drain field was also dug very shallow, the top of the pipe no more than 2 feet underground. At the time of the install, I asked them to flag where the bends are in the drain field so I could update my site plan in CAD, and they didn't do it or they just forgot. I called them back to do it and they charged me an additional $150!!! At the time they put a post near the tank and mounted the electrical breaker box to it. When I had it moved over to the house (by an electrician), the pump was off and I forgot to turn it on. The alarm went off so I called them out to take a look. The guy got here, opened the easy access lid where I saw very little solids (brand new system) and immediately stated that I needed to pump the tank. At the time I was inexperienced with septic systems so I didn't realize that all that needed be done was the pump turned on. The guy didn't bother asking any questions, just went right to the pumping. I was charged another $250 on top of all the other stuff. I believe this system was worth about $5000 vs the $7500 paid due to all the extras tacked on. Also, they were supposed to give me a plat map showing all features of the system, which they did not! Please be wary and educate yourself before you have a new system installed. And I would highly recommend looking elsewhere for your service, these guys are crooks.
